Uncle Al had open heart surgery 1-12-24. Uncle Al was recovering well, then in June became very ill in and out of the hospital until 8-2-24 when they sent him to Missouri Bapstist.
Uncle Al had open heart surgery again in August 2024. The caridioligist said it was the most difficult surgery she has done, and its a miricle he not only survived but has recovered teriffically!
I have taken over all the Pug chores, Charles sometimes helps.
It has been so hard on him! He misses his dogs and feels so bad hes not here to give them attention.

I don't know what is funnier, watching the pug puppies play, or Uncle Al playing with them at "recess!"
Puppies are all born in our home. Uncle Al normaly lives in our "apartment", the walkout basement downstairs, currentl he has been upstairs since his surgery. We help Uncle Al with his Pugs, they give everone lots of love!
When our moms retire we have them spayed and offer them to pet only homes for about half the cost of a puppy. They will be on the retired parent page at that time. Uncle Al also sometimes keeps them as his forever friends. Sugar, Sally and Chub are permanent. He would keep them all, but then we couldn't have any puppies.

If you're not sure you're ready for a puppy and 10 to 18 years of care please consider fostering for a local rescue group to see if a puppy or dog is really right for you. Or maybe adopt a rescued adult Pug. Rescue is always the best! (Do your homework, since a rescued dog needs a home appropriate for their needs as much as a puppy!)
A puppy is a very serious decision. 10 to 18 or more years of care and companionship. Please do not get a puppy or a dog if you have any hesitation about long term responsibility of a furry best friend. We love our puppies and dogs and only want them in a home where they will be a part of the family!

Pugs are heat and cold sensitive. They are not appropriate for 'hiking in all weather' type of dog. Some are amazingly agile, fast, and athletic and do tolerate a wider range of temperature. Others are at risk of collapsing if overheated when simply out on a warm day and playing.
Many make terrific therapy dogs. They are very tolerant of children.
They are used to going potty outside. Friends and family discount for a second puppy!
All puppies are kept current on vaccinations, dewormed several times, microchipped, and well socialized.
Puppies adopted as a pet on the agreement to be spayed or neutered between 5-6 months of age are $1800 for fawn, or black, and $2000 for brindle, silver, or white + IL sales taxes. Puppies are microchipped and current on vaccinations.

This was Hildes last litter. She has been adopted and is living with her Pug neice now 🙂 She was the only Pug who was supposed to have puppies this summer.
"Junior" got to go to the college for a student stress relief day. He loved it! Then an 8 week westie decided to chase him around! He didnt know what to do and ran from her! The students loved him, he was playful and he loved the attention.

Mom's Due!
The mom seem to all like to cycle at the same time!
We had more puppies ready 2024 then we have ever had at one time, or maybe ever in a full year!! It is now December and we have only 2 boys available. Oprah and Wonton are due to have a litter in late December 2024. We didnt breed any others due to how many puppies we had and Uncle Al not being able to help. He is on the mend. We plan to have more puppies late winter/early spring if moms timing cooperates. (moms only cycle 1 or 2 times a year).
Old update: Spring/summer 2024 were trying to not have any more litters until the winter puppies were in homes. Unfortunately Uncle Al wasnt up to his usual self at all, and didnt notice Portia was in season, the new guy, Wonton did! She had puppies 6-9-24. Then Uncle Al thought both Nikki and Zelda were not in season and let them out to hold and didnt think about Boris. He got up and started cleaning, and didnt notice anything. I came down to help him clean and Nikki and Boris were tied. I put Zelda up but not sure if Boris, had bred her, as Uncle Al let her out at 2am, when I had her kenneled to be out with supervision only. So both now could be due in July. Turned out Nikki didnt have puppies but Zelda had 4. I was hoping not any more as we had a lot of pugs and it is hard to give them all attention, with Uncle Al not able to sit with them. They were supposed to be with the girls only. He misses getting to hold them and likes to sit in his favorite chair with them, but mentally isnt as alret as usual. I have since seperated all the boys and girls. He is under strict rules to only have them out in the group I have them with, so its all boys, or all girls!
We plan to have more baby puppies ready spring 2025.
Deposit information for future puppies
Until the puppies arrive we just don't know how many, or what sex they will be. The $400. non-refundable deposit for puppies not born yet, holding a puppy until he/she is 8 weeks old, or for those planning way ahead a puppy who will be 8 weeks old closest to when a puppy is desired even if its a year away. We let families pick their puppy in the order we have received deposits. You can also pass on a litter and wait for another.
